Builders are compared blind
Responses are read as Builder A, B and C before any name is shown. Builders see the project's suburb and the approved scope, never the owner's name, street address or contact details.
Every estimate shows its working and every price shows its source. The same openness applies to how the platform itself is run: where your data is kept, who can see it, and what Modern GBQ never does with it.

Responses are read as Builder A, B and C before any name is shown. Builders see the project's suburb and the approved scope, never the owner's name, street address or contact details.
Every record belongs to one organisation and every query is scoped to it at the data layer. A builder sees only the approved scope it was invited to price.
Every re-price is a new numbered version and every version is kept. Changes to the platform's configuration are recorded with who made them, when and why.
Modern GBQ processes no payments for building work, holds no funds and signs nothing. Selecting a builder is an expression of intent; the contract is made directly between you and the builder.
Drawings and documents you ask the platform to read are processed by an AI service provider under the Privacy Policy. Our primary hosting is in Australia; some service providers, in particular for email, payment and AI services, may access or store information in other countries.
The Terms of Service, Marketplace Agreement, Privacy Policy, Billing and Refunds policy and Dispute Resolution policy are readable without an account and recorded with the version each person accepted.
The platform, its database, backups and email sending run in Amazon Web Services' Sydney region. Some service providers, in particular for email, payment and AI services, may access or store information in other countries; the Privacy Policy lists them.
Not through the platform. A builder sees the project's suburb and postcode, the approved scope and the dates. Your name, street address and contact details are never shared on the platform; you choose who to talk to after the blind comparison.
Yes. Account → Security shows the setup key for your authenticator app, confirms the first code and hands you one-time recovery codes. You can regenerate them or turn two-factor off there too.
No. The only payments on the platform are subscription payments by card through Stripe. Your contract and your payments for the build are directly with the builder you choose.
The people you put on it: your own organisation's members you assign, and the professionals you invite by email with a role. Each sees only what their role allows, and you can change or remove a role at any time.
Only what you ask it to: the drawings you upload for a reading, so it can propose the buildings, storeys and rooms for you to confirm. Nothing is applied to your project until you review it.
