Modern GBQ Grace Building Quote Pty Ltd
For trades

Packages of work that arrive already measured.

A builder on Modern GBQ prices a job line by line before anyone is asked to quote. When they want your trade's price they send you a package: the labour of your trade on that job, with its hours, quantities and stage, plus the drawings they choose to share. You answer with one number. If the builder accepts it, your figure becomes the price of that work on their quote.

The problem today

Why quoting for builders eats your week.

A phone call, not a scope

You are asked for a price on a job you have not seen measured, so you guess, or you drive out to look.

Your price, retyped

The figure you send is copied into someone else's spreadsheet, and it is not always the figure you sent.

Shopped around

Your number can be shown to the next tradie to beat, with no deadline and no record.

How it works

What you actually do.

  1. 1

    Register and get verified

Create a free account with your business name, the trades you do, the state and suburbs you work in and, where your trade is licensed, your licence number. Our staff verify the business before any package can reach you.

  2. 2

    Packages arrive

A builder cuts the labour of your trade from a priced quote and sends it to you, with hours, quantities, the stage of works, the suburb and state, a start window and the shared drawings. Opening a package for the first time uses one of your month's packages.

  3. 3

    Answer with one number

Give a lump sum ex GST, your availability, how long the price holds and any notes. Unit rates per activity are optional. Revise before the deadline if you need to; every version is kept.

  4. 4

    Get accepted

After the deadline the builder compares the answers blind and accepts one. If it is yours, your figure goes straight into their quote as a trade quote in your name.

What you get

Work that arrives already measured.

Quantities, not a phone call

Every package is cut from a quote the Grace Estimation Method has already measured, with the hours the labour pack allows for each activity. You price what is on the page.

One number is enough

Answer with a lump sum, ex GST, plus when you can start and how long the price holds. Unit rates are optional for the trades that quote that way.

Blind until the deadline

Other tradies' answers are never shown to you and yours is never shown to them. Answers shut at the deadline; the builder compares them after it.

Straight into the quote

An accepted answer replaces the labour rate for your trade on the builder's priced quote, shown as a trade quote in your business name. No retyping.

Nothing you did not ask for

You see the package only: quantities, stage, suburb and state, the start window and the drawings the builder ticked. Never the homeowner's name, street address or contact details, and never the builder's margin.

A record that follows you

Packages awaiting an answer, due soon, accepted and declined sit in your Trades workspace, and a rating builds from your work, the way it does for builders.

Plans

Which plan fits.

Every plan receives and answers packages the same way; the plans differ in how many packages you can open a month. Builders pay nothing to send. Plan prices in Australian dollars, GST included.

A package is counted when you open it for the first time; reopening it, answering, revising and declining use nothing.

Questions

What tradies ask.

What is the founding offer?

A free year at 20 packages a month (Gold's allowance) for trades that register before 1 January 2027. The year starts when our staff verify your business.

Do I need a licence to register?

No. Register first and add the licence number when you have it to hand. For electrical, plumbing, gas and air-conditioning, our staff check the licence at verification, and a builder cannot accept your answer until it has been checked.

Is my price inc or ex GST?

Ex GST, like every price and rate on the platform. GST is added once, by the builder, on the total the homeowner sees.

Who pays for this?

Builders send packages free. Your plan decides how many packages you can open a month: two on the free Listed plan, twenty on Gold, unlimited on Platinum.

Can I say no?

Yes. Declining a package costs nothing. Declining after the builder has accepted your answer counts against your rating, the same rule builders live by.

Will I see the homeowner?

No. You see the builder's name, because you are working for the builder, and the job's suburb and state. The homeowner's name, street address and contact details are never shared on the platform.

Put your price where the builders are.

Free once verified, two packages a month, no card. Register before 1 January 2027 for a free year at twenty a month.
