Modern GBQGrace Estimation Method

For estimators, architects and project managers

Work on your client's project without rebuilding their numbers

You are invited onto a project with a defined role, and you work on the same estimate everyone else sees — with the working shown on every line, so your judgement goes into the parts that need it, not into re-keying a take-off.

Why professionals use it

The working, shown

Traceable quantities

Sixty-four governed formulas, each with its inputs and result recorded per run. You can see what a quantity was computed from and change the inputs, not just the answer.

Priced lines with provenance

Each line names its price source — a supplier's published offer, a dated market price with its link, or an indicative rate — so you know which numbers to challenge.

Your quantities, your overrides

Enter the quantities the formulas do not measure, override a selection with a reason, re-price. Hand-entered quantities win over formula results for the same item.

Drawings and planning, assisted

The AI proposes measurements from an uploaded drawing and an indicative planning check for the address, with sources. You confirm; nothing is calculated from a guess.

How it works

What you actually do

  1. 1

    Get invited

The project owner adds you with a role — estimator, architect, project manager or administrator — which decides what you can change.

  2. 2

    See the working

Every quantity names the formula that produced it, and every price names its source. Nothing is a black box you have to take on trust.

  3. 3

    Refine it

Override any material selection with a reason, enter the quantities the formulas do not measure, and re-price. Every version is kept.

  4. 4

    Hand it on

Mark the quote ready, the owner approves it, and the same scope goes to verified builders. Their responses come back against the lines you refined.

Questions

What professionals ask

Do I need a plan of my own?

No. Your account is free. Limits belong to the organisation that owns the project you are working on.

Can I run my own projects?

Yes. Create an organisation and you have the same workspace a developer does, on the homeowner plans. Most professionals simply work on their clients' projects.

What method is behind the numbers?

The Grace Estimation Method: sixty-four governed formulas in five families, versioned and published through the Configuration Centre, with every run's inputs and outputs recorded. The Platform Overview describes it.

Can I export?

Every priced version is kept and shared with everyone on the project. A downloadable costing report with product names, descriptions and photos per line is on the roadmap for shortly after launch.
